Maintenance & Warranty:

Caring for your vehicle graphics & wraps is the best way to prolong the life of your wrap and keep your investment looking it’s best.

Care for our vehicle graphics, vehicle wrap, boat wrap and all other 3M and Oracal graphics is very simple. Care is the same as you would any fine paint finish. Using high quality products designed specifically for car care and these cleaning and maintenance procedures will help keep your vehicle wraps looking their best.

We recommend you review the following suggestions for good maintenance for your Graphics Edge LLC vehicle graphics.

Car / Truck/ Boat Wash –

You can take your vehicle through a car/truck wash (brushless) without any concerns. DO NOT use a a brush type of car wash. Gentle cleaning is best. Soften difficult contaminants such as bug splatter, bird droppings, tree sap and similar contaminants by soaking them for several minutes with very hot, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. If further cleaning is needed, test one of these products in an inconspicuous area to ensure no damage to the wrap: Meguiar’s Gold Class™ Bug and Tar Remover or 3M™ Citrus Base Cleaner. Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) (two parts IPA to one part water) or denatured alcohol may also help. Spot clean the contaminants. Do not use rough scrubbing or abrasive tools, which will scratch the film. Wash and rinse off all residue immediately.

Pressure Wash –

Pressure Washing may be used under these conditions:

  • For touch stains and dirt, please use a brush. DO NOT PRESSURE WASH YOUR WINDOW PERF or you will rip it apart.
  • Ensure the water pressure is kept below 2000 psi (14 MPa).
  • Keep water temperature below 80°C (180°F).
  • Use a spray nozzle with a 40 degree wide angle spray pattern.
  • Keep the nozzle at least 1 foot (300 mm) away from and perpendicular (at 90 degrees) to the graphic.

NOTE: Holding the nozzle of a pressure washer at an angle to the graphic may lift the edges of the film.

Wax –

We highly recommend you wax your vehicle once a year (or more) to maintain the high shine and the life of the vehicles graphics. The best wax is a liquid; this makes it easier to apply. In most cases wax will take out the stains you might get in the graphics.

Window Perf –

DO NOT EVER USE THE REAR WINDOW WIPERS ON THE WINDOW FILM, if you do this will void the warranty and damage the film. NEVER Roll down side windows or rear windows as this may damage the film and void the warranty.

Insurance –

Most insurance companies offer a special policy to cover your vehicle graphics. Call your insurance company for more details.

Pealing or Lifting –

If you see the film lifting or pealing back, you must contact us immediately so we can fix the problem. If you leave it, you will prevent us from fixing the problem and void the warranty.

Warranty:

If the graphics fails in the first year, we cover this under Graphics Edge LLC Warranty. After one year we follow the warranty support from the manufactures.

The manufactures warranty does not determine the time at which film will fail. On the contrary, the film in most cases last much longer than the manufacture warranty. But as a result of the care not taken of vehicles graphics; the manufacture has no choice but to limit the warranty. The message is that if you look after your graphics, they will look beautiful for years!
